Get a White House tour from Google’s Street View cams

If you can't get to the White House for a tour, Google has arranged that for you, bringing its Street View cameras inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. so everyone can get a better look at some of the most famous rooms in America.

Anti-software-patent petition makes White House’s top 10
The White House this month began allowing people to create petitions on its website, and an early favorite asks the president to "direct the patent office to cease issuing software patents."
The petition has more than 12,000 signatures, which puts it among the top 10 petitions on the White House website.
The leading petition, at the moment, concerns legalizing marijuana, with more than 41,000 signatures.

White House ‘clarifies’ H-1B, green card rules to attract investment
The White House is attempting to make it more attractive for foreign entrepreneurs to create a business in the U.S. by "clarifying" H-1B visa and green card rules.
This idea of making it easier for foreign investors to create U.S.-based start-ups has been pitched by lawmakers who proposed "start-up visa" or "founder's visa" bills in recent years.
The White House isn't proposing new visa regulations, but is instead making what it characterized as "clarifying" adjustments to green card and H-1B rules that may make it easier for foreign investors to get a visa. Read more...
