Teen arrested for slimy ranking of girls on Facebook

An Illinois teen has been arrested by police and charged with disorderly conduct after he used Facebook to post a list of 50 girls at his high school he described as both hot and promiscuous.

The boy, a student at Oak Park-River Forest High School, "was found to be responsible for an offensive list that was circulated" at the school as well, Det. Cmdr. LaDon Reynolds told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Google-powered laptops to go on sale June 15

Value of pirated software nearly $59 billion: study

vidao game piracyThe commercial value of pirated software increased 14 percent last year to nearly $59 billion, with emerging economies accounting for over half the total, according to a study published Thursday.

Businesses and consumers around the world bought $95 billion worth of legal personal computer (PC) software in 2010, according to the Business Software Alliance (BSA), but they installed another $58.8 billion in pirated software.

"This means that for every dollar spent on legitimate software in 2010, an additional 63 cents worth of unlicensed software also made its way into the market," the BSA said. Read more...

The group, which calls itself Lulz Security, then used that information to alter the LinkedIn accounts of more than a dozen Fox sales employees, tweeting each one on its @LulzSec twitter account. It also posted the trove online, saying, ‘We invite the Internet to ravage the following list of emails and passwords (from a database within Fox.com) - Facebook, MySpace, PayPal, whatever you can get your hands on.
